This module will look at the following topics:

  • History of Indigenous Inquiry

Learning has happened within, and by Indigenous communities since time immemorial. This section will discuss how many Indigenous cultures view the purpose of education, inquiry and research and explain what similarities and differences there are to Western models of education. It will then reflect on how these worldviews culminate in different approaches to research, and how these gaps can be bridged through new models.

  • Indigenous Research Methodologies

This page will take a look at an overview of research methods that are most found in current research. This is not a comprehensive list of methodologies, but will give examples of individual types as well as research papers and presentations that have used them so that current and future researchers can gain a better understanding.
